With a newly re-launched Facebook page, Eagan officials want residents to know that they can turn to Facebook for the latest updates, complementing more than 1,200 pages of information on the City of Eagan’s Web site.
Eagan was awarded $167,000 in Clean Water Partnership (CWP) funds for its proposal to study eight neighborhood lakes and develop management plans. Eagan was the only Minnesota city awarded a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
Approximately 40% of Eagan’s registered voters could see a change in voting locations this year because of statewide redistricting which, by law, occurs every 10 years following the Census.
At its meeting Tuesday night, the Eagan Mayor and City Council in their role as Eagan's Economic Development Authority were interested to hear the proposal from Paragon Outlet Partners LLC to construct between 90-100 high end outlet stores—more than 400,000 square feet of retail—on approximately 35 acres in Cedar Grove.
The Discover Brochure is mailed four times a year to Eagan residents, which includes the Spring/Summer, Summer, Fall and Winter brochure. Non-Residents may now purchase a yearly subscription for $15. The first mailing will be the 2012 Spring/Summer Discover Brochure. Perfect for students home from college or anyone looking to try-out the ECC. The summer membership is available for purchase at the ECC from May 15 - June 30 and is good for 90 days from the date of purchase. Register for the Eagan 5K Your Way Activity Festival on Saturday, May 19th from 8:30 am - Noon at the Eagan Festival Grounds, 1501 Central Parkway. Register by May 7 and save $5; after May 7 register at the event starting at 8:30 a.m. Run, walk, bike or roller blade the course at your own pace, it's for all ages and abilities. Eagan Market Fest, where the community comes to get connected! Buy local produce, food and artisan items, enjoy concerts, free kid's art, play area, theme nights and more. The second biennial “LakeFest” will be held at Blackhawk Park on Saturday, June 9th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. LakeFest 2012 is a free, family event on “Take A Kid Fishing Weekend.” Come enjoy fish printing, water science and safety demos, informational booths, and music! Lunch and snack concessions will be available for purchase.
Eagan will soon have its first Off-Leash Dog Area. Located in the City of Eagan's Thresher Fields Park, the park will feature trails and open spaces in a rugged natural setting. The entire area will be fenced including the lake shore, with a gated access to the lake.
